Sand Blasting on concrete gives the best performance and should be given first preference out of the available surface preparation methods. If blasting is impracticable, Acid Etching with diluted Hydrochloric Acid followed by fresh water washing to be adopted. Seasoned wooden articles should be scuffed with Emery 220/400 to achieve smooth surface. Please refer our Directive Sheet on Surface Preparation.

Description
Two component, air drying, high solids, Epoxy coating. The product has the advantage of epoxy resin composition with speciality pigment, which facilitates one-coat, high build application for high performance. The product can be applied on minimum prepared surface and is designed to completely wet the substrate. Excellent adhesion is obtained on a variety of intact surfaces including over old coating and tightly adherent rust. The composition has been balanced to a convenient mixing ratio by volume with excellent application characteristics. The low solvent content reduces the problem of lifting of the paint film and adhesion failure by blistering and pin holing. This assures a stable long term performance.
Recommended Use :-
It is mainly recommended in those areas where blasting is impractical or impossible. Uses include steel structures in Industrial plants, bridges, tank exteriors, oil tanks, pipes, marine atmosphere, cooling towers, etc. It has good resistance to spillage and fumes of acids, alkalis, fresh and salt water. Recommended as a primer on suitably cleaned mild steel surface in various Fertilizer units, Refineries, Chemical and other plants, Transportation industries, steel plants, cement plants, power plants, pulp and paper industries, pharmaceutical industries, etc. for application on tank exteriors, structural steel, pipelines, machineries, vessels, etc.

Surface Preparation
Thorough surface preparation is vital. For best results, saffro recommends mechanical preparation techniques (Eg. mechanical scarifying, grit or sand sweeping),
a) New Concrete Surface :-
New concrete surface should be at least 28 days old and/or have moisture content of less than 5% before proceeding with primer application. Laitance and deposits on new concrete are best removed by light grit blasting, mechanical scarification or grinding. Acid etching may be considered for smaller areas, after etching the floor, it should be thoroughly washed with clean water, and then allowed to dry.
b) Old Concrete Floors :-
Mechanical cleaning methods are strongly recommended on old concrete surfaces, particularly their heavy contamination by oil and grease has occurred or old coatings is present. To ensure good adhesion, all contaminants are removed and the surface thoroughly cleaned of all dust and loose debris. A thorough detergent wash is also recommended followed by thorough cleaning with water and moping it off to a dry state.
Universal stainer are manufactured to stiff specification such colour shade, colour strength and rheology. This assures both excellent colour accuracy and colour reproducibility. Universal stainer are sensibly formulated to provide hassle free use. The pigments are highly dispersed to achieve maximum tinting strength and full chroma. Our unique dispersion technique provides each pigment its optimum color development. This result in maximum tinting strength and maximum transparency. This sureties complete de-agglomeration resulting in no shade change & strength change.

Description
Two components, air drying, high build Epoxy primer. The product has the advantage of epoxy resin composition with specialty pigments, which facilitates one-coat, high build application for high performance. The product can be applied on minimum prepared surface and is designed to be completely wet and provide maximum intimacy with the substrate. Excellent adhesion is obtained on a variety of intact surfaces including over old coating and tightly adherent rust. With the high solids and less solvent content of the coating the risk of lifting, blistering, pin holing is reduced, and thus the risk of adhesion failure is minimized.
Recommended Use :-
It is recommended for steel structures in industrial plants, bridges, tank exteriors, oil tanks, pipes, marine atmosphere, cooling towers, etc.

Add Epoxy Thinner into the mix, if required, depending on application method, and stir gently for few minutes. Strain the paint through Nylon filter cloth and apply uniformly over the surface. All equipments used for above should be properly cleaned. Application : By Brush / By Conventional Spray / By Airless Spray Generally no thinner is required for Brush application; however under adverse environmental conditions about 5% of thinner, by volume, can be added. . Apply evenly in crossed manner, ensuring the uniform application. Use quality brushes for paint application.
For Conventional Spray application:-
Thinner : Epoxy Thinner 190
Addition : 10-15%
Nozzle Orifice : 1.2 1.4 mm
Nozzle Pressure : 40 - 70 p.s.i.
For Airless Spray Application:-
Thinner : Epoxy Thinner 190
Addition : Max 5%
Nozzle Orifice : 0.37- 0.42mm
Nozzle Pressure : 1400-1800 p.s.i.
Description
Two component metallic zinc rich epoxy high performance primer.
Recommended Use :-
The zinc pigment in dry film renders excellent protection to steel structure, tanks, bullets, dam gates, pipelines, plant equipments, jetty, etc. in both interior and exterior exposed conditions of fertilizer units, chemical plants, steel plants, cement plants, pulp and paper industries, ports, power plants, petrochemical and pharmaceutical industry, transformer, machines & other heavy duty OEMs. It also provides cathodic protection to steel and gives good resistance to corrosion at local damaged areas. It is useful in heavy-duty protective paint systems. It is recommended not to expose the primed coat alone to chemical and saline atmosphere for a long time.

The ZERO solvent content reduces the problem of lifting of the paint film and adhesion failure by blistering and pin holing.
Recommended as a primer on suitably cleaned mild steel surface in various Fertilizer units, Refineries, Chemical and other plants, Transportation industries, steel plants, cement plants, power plants, pulp and paper industries, pharmaceutical industries, water tank, pipelines etc. for application on tank exteriors and interiors, structural steel, pipelines, machineries, vessels, etc.
