Located on the western part of Indonesia, the Special Region of Aceh was once the centre of Indonesiaâ??s cross-sea trade. Coffee has been part of the Special Region of Aceh since the 1900s. It is grown and harvested at an altitude of 1400 MSL in the Gayo highlands. This particular variant of Gayo coffee gives off the taste of tropical fruits, green apple and caramel that lead to bright acidity.
Minang Arabica coffee grown at a planting altitude of more than 1,500 meters above sea level has an influence on the taste character which will bring a sensory experience in the form of a sweet-sour sensation of citrus fruits such as lemons and a taste character resembling spices in coffee produced from the Solok Region.
