Young, tender sprouts are carefully picked around their 88th day to create "Kinpo", one of Satoen's most famous teas. Amongst the morning mist in a small number of mountain fields, tea masters work to bring out the fine aroma of the sprouts using all of their skill. Even tea connoisseurs will be surprised. The tea leaves are grown in shade of the sun and then matured at our factory. Once autumn arrives, the leaves are carefully ground into matcha.
