Since ancient times, onion was heavily used as an edible and medical remedy across the globe. Onion creates a large source of food and prevents thirst and is a great source of energy. The unique flavor of the onion is the primary reason for its widespread and popularity. Further, it grows in mid-dry weather and on most of the variety of soils, and hence, it is cultivated in almost all areas of the Indian subcontinent. India is one of the biggest producers and consumers of fresh onion. For preserving the onion for a longer time, the fresh onion bulb is processed via the air-drying process, and the final product is commonly known as dehydrated onion or dried onion. This dried onion is utilized as an alternative to the fresh onion for adding the aromatic flavor in the cooked and backed food dishes. The dried onion also reduces the food preparation time and avoids teary eyes while chopping. The Dehydrated onion is also a great source of Vitamin C, dietary fiber, and folic acid. Additionally, they offer various minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, calcium, and phosphorus. The antioxidant and antibacterial property of the onions prevents bacterial infection, viral flu, and cellular damage. It helps in diseases like cancer, diabetes, and heart problems
Product Name : Dehydrated White Onion Chopped HS Code : 07122000 Category : White, Pink, Red Packaging Options : 20/25 Kgs PP Bag/Cartoon Box or Customized Loading Option : 14 MTS (20 FT), 24 MTS (40FT) Aroma : sweet and spicy Size : 3 to 5 mm / 5 to 7 mm Product Expiry : 2 Years in 5 C - 12 C Storage at Dry Place Source / Origin : India The Dehydrated onion chopped is manufactured from the onion flakes, which are mainly used as ingredients in ready-to-eat products to add the caramelized sweetish onion flavor. The onion chopped is also used in vegetable curries or non-veg gravy and fried dishes. It is also utilized in burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, and pizza for a pungent aromatic flavor of onion. Due to some specific usage, the dehydrated onion flakes having large dimensions are not suitable for several food items such as grilled or steamed ones. Hence, some finer substitutes of the dry onion flakes, viz., minced, chopped, granular, and powdered are also proposed. From all these varieties, the dehydrated onion chopped is manufactured from the dry onion flakes. In the starting phase, the unwanted impurities in the form of the outer skin and plant roots are removed by the sorting process. It is then passed through the cutting machine to obtain a finer sized product of the dried onions. At the last stage, chopped onions are processed via the Vibro table having 3 to 5 mm dimensions. This final 3 to 5 mm dried chopped onions are also known as Dehydrated Onion Chopped. There are mainly three different varieties of chopped onions produced by SKY Agri Export. These are commonly categorized based on the color of the onion flakes used as the raw material, such as the White Onion Chopped, Red Onion Chopped, and Pink Onion Chopped. Out of these three types, the dehydrated white chopped onions are in high demand from North America, European countries, and Russia. The other two types of chopped dried onions, i.e., pink and red ones, are also supplied as cheaper options.
