The main product of the nutmeg plant is essential oil which can be produced through distillation from raw materials in the form of fruit flesh, seeds, and mace.Indonesia supplies around 60% of the world's total nutmeg market needs every year.Nutmeg plants in general can grow in areas with an altitude of about 0-700 meters above sea level with a fairly high rainfall requirement of 2000-3500 mm / year and humidity of around 50-80%. This plant can grow usually up to a tree height of 5-15 meters or can even reach 30 meters. Nutmeg is suitable to grow at air temperatures around 20-30oC with the structure of the soil where it grows has a large enough range, namely from dense soil to sandy and has an acidity degree of 5.5-7
