Chickpea, also known as Garbanzo bean, Bengal gram, and Egyptian pea, is one of the earliest cultivated legumes. Their cultivation began in the Mediterranean basin and subsequently spread to the Indian subcontinent, Americas, and other parts of the world. The Latin name for Chickpea, Cicer arietinum, means "small ram," reflecting the unique shape of this legume that somewhat resembles a ram's head.
Chickpeas are an excellent source of molybdenum and manganese. They are also a very good source of folate and copper as well as a good source of dietary fiber, phosphorus, protein, iron and zinc.

Kabuli chana are known as chickpeas in English. They are the oldest and earliest cultivated legumes having a rough texture which is beige color with a diameter of less than a centimeter. They are rich in protein, fibre, vitamin b9, magnesium, zinc, and control blood sugar levels, maintain and making of red blood cells. Chole bhature, chole kulche, aloo chat, pindi chole are some dishes that can be made using kabuli chana.
Green chana or green peas, which are generally available throughout the year.They are rich in vitamin A, vitamin C, soluble and insoluble dietary fibre which helps in controlling and maintaining blood sugar levels. Furthermore, they are also eaten for weight loss. Chana makhani, green chana chaat, hara chana masala are some dishes that can be prepared using green chana
We offer Ethiopian grown Kabuli Chickpeas, Grade A/Grade 1. Kabuli Chickpeas-A are chickpea characterised by creamy color and big size (>85% retained on the sieve size of 18/64"/8mm).
