Smoke Visibility Tester: Smoke Detection The test device is comprised of a plywood chamber with an inner side painted with heat-resistant paint and a hole in the ceiling that allows a light metre cell to be held while being tested. The chamber's bottom has a hole that lines up with the hole in the ceiling. The bottom hole has a clear glass bulb installed in it. A hole is present on the chamber's left side, and an exhaust fan has been mounted there. A hole on the right side allows air to circulate when smoke is being expelled into the chamber.
