It is also known by other popular names including Crab's Eye, Tento Muido, Precatory Bean, Cain Ghe, Weesboontje, Graines Reglisse, Hint Meyankoku, Hung Tou, Jequerit, and has habitat throughout Central India. It’s a twining herb having long, pinnate-leafleted feathery leaves and is also identified as Gunja in Sanskrit and some Indian languages. The chemical constituents of the extract include Abrasine, Abricin, Abrin, (+)-abrine, Abraline, Abrisin, Abruslactone, Abrussic-acid, Abrusgenic-acid, Abrusgenic-acid-methyl-ester, Anthocyanins, Cycloartenol, Delphinidin, Gallic-acid, Campesterol, Choline, Glycyrrhizin, N,n-dimethyl-tryptophan-metho-cation-methyl-ester, Hypaphorine, N,n-dimethyl-tryptophan, P-coumaroylgalloyl-glucodelphinidin, Pectin, Phosphorus, Pentosans and others.
