Fenoxycarb is an insecticide that disrups the development of pest an insect growth regulator. In contrast to conventional neurrotocic insecticides that cause knockdown effects, it has an insect-specifiv mode of action exhibiting strong juvenile hormone activety. It inhibits metamorphosis to the adult stage, interfers with the molting of early instar larvae, and involves certain ovivide and delayed larvicide-adulticide eficcts in various insect species. It disrupts insect-specific transformations and is effective against various lepidoptera and scale insects on fruit, citrus, olives and vines and is safe to many beneficial arthropods.also used against mosquito larvae, fleas and cockroaches.
