Surface Preparation
This being a Topcoat, which is applied over underneath primer or intermediate coats, the surface should be free from oil, moisture, dust and dirt. Aged coatings should be roughened by emery paper grade 400 / 600 followed by solvent wipe for better bonding.

REMARKS : 1) Store the product at ambient conditions in well ventilate locations and away from the source of ignition and fire.
2) Avoid eye and skin contact. In case of eye and skin contacts wash with plenty of clean water.
3) Do not inhale or inject. In case of inhalation move to fresh air and seek medical attention.
4) Use protective equipments like rubber/polythene gloves, safety goggle/glasses, face mask while handling the paint-this is required for all paints.
5) In humid areas, use of a bio-wash solution is recommended to remove surface fungus growth, fungal spores, mould etc. before application of the paint system.
6) Do not apply when ambient temperature is less than 10�ºC or if the temperature might drop to this level within 4 hrs of application.
7) Tinted paints need thorough shaking/mixing immediately after tinter addition as well as before use.
8) For removing stains, sponge clean with a mild soap solution and wipe clean. Ensure drying time of 1 Week before cleaning.

Pre-painting Steps
Plaster New masonary surfaces must be allowed to cure completely. It is recommended to allow 28 days as the curing time for new masonary surfaces.
Cleaning
Surface should be free from any loose paint, dust or grease. Growths of fungus, algae or moss should be removed by wire brushing and water. When the underlying surface exhibits chalkiness, in spite of thorough surface cleaning, use Saffroâ??s Exterior Primer.
How To Apply :-
On normal masonary surface by a trowel spatula to obtain an even coating of 1 to 1.5 mm ,2 coats 2 to 2.5 sq.ft/kg**

Filling For Holes & Dents :-

Surface Preparation
Thorough surface preparation is vital. For best results, saffro recommends mechanical preparation techniques (Eg. mechanical scarifying, grit or sand sweeping),
a) New Concrete Surface :-
New concrete surface should be at least 28 days old and/or have moisture content of less than 5% before proceeding with primer application. Laitance and deposits on new concrete are best removed by light grit blasting, mechanical scarification or grinding. Acid etching may be considered for smaller areas, after etching the floor, it should be thoroughly washed with clean water, and then allowed to dry.
b) Old Concrete Floors :-
Mechanical cleaning methods are strongly recommended on old concrete surfaces, particularly their heavy contamination by oil and grease has occurred or old coatings is present. To ensure good adhesion, all contaminants are removed and the surface thoroughly cleaned of all dust and loose debris. A thorough detergent wash is also recommended followed by thorough cleaning with water and moping it off to a dry state.

Prepare to use
1. Mix base and hardener by the mixing ratio and Stir thoroughly, then setting at least 15 minutes. Thinner may be used to reduce viscosity.

3. Two packs product, must be used completely during the duration of its pot life.
4. Donâ??t apply when the temperature is < 10â??,>40â??, relative humidity is >90â?? or the surface temperature of substrate is not higher than the dew point for at least 3â??.
5. If the coating interval is exceeded , the surface of base coat must be roughened to insure adhesion.
6. Keep away from heat, sparks and flame.
7. Stored with good ventilation.
8. Keep adequate ventilation during application.
9. The actual coverage may vary, depending on application technique, job conditions and type of surface. Under brushing & rolling application the actual coverage is estimated at 70% of the Theoretical coverage and 60% for spraying.

Bituminous Primer is product containing oxidized bitumen and a mix of technical quick
drying solvents.
APPLICATION
Bituminous Primer is recommended to block the dust and the porosity of concrete surfaces allowing the quick application o f the bituminous polymer membranes, both with flame application and cold bonding with bituminous sealants or with self adhesive membranes.Bituminous Primer allows quick film drying, has an excellent penetration and adhesion to the support for the absence of surface stickiness.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
Concrete surfaces must be dry, clean and free from oil, dust or release agents.
This type of primer is ready for use after mixing it. Bituminous Primer can be either sprayed or applied by means of roller or brush. In case of hot application of membranes with flame, the primer can be used only if surfaces are completely dry. On the contrary, if the surface is damp, it is recommended to use a bituminous primer specific for damp surfaces. The drying time depends on concrete porosity, on the quantity of product applied and on the temperature of both the surface and the environment.
Usually the film gets dry after 2-4 hours from the application. The drying time can increase in case of cold temperature and with low a bsorption surfaces.
