Specification for the Use of Ultra-High Power Graphite Electrodes in 400 Electric Arc Furnace
Points to note for the use of graphite electrodes:
1, wet graphite electrode, dry before use.
2, remove the foam protective cap on the spare graphite electrode hole, check whether the inner thread of the electrode hole is complete.
3, clean up spare graphite electrode surface and hole thread with compressed air without oil and water; Avoid cleaning sand cloth with steel or metal brushes.
4, carefully rotating the connector into the electrode hole at one end of the backup graphite electrode(it is not recommended to load the connector directly into the electrode removed from the furnace), not to collide threads.
5, the electrode hanging equipment(recommended graphite hanging equipment) into the electrode hole at the other end of the backup electrode.
6, when lifting the electrode, loosen the soft material to the bottom of the end of the standby electrode connector to prevent the ground from hitting the connector; Lift the pendant ring with a hook, and the lifting electrode must be stable to prevent the electrode from loosening from the B end or colliding with other fixing devices.
7, hanging the spare electrode to the top of the electrode to be connected, pointing at the electrode hole and slowly falling; Rotate the backup electrode so that the spiral hook rotates with the electrode to drop; When the two electric extremes are 10-20mm apart, the exposed parts of the two ends and joints of the electrode are cleaned again with compressed air; When the electrode is finally completely decentralized, it must not be too violent. Otherwise, due to violent collisions, the electrode holes and joints will be damaged.

Molybdenum electrode is electrodes made of material molybdenum, by applying its unique advantagestemperature resistance, continuous surface, stable edges good electrical conductivity, excellent corrosion-resistance -- to improve its entire quality and using age. Molybdenum electrode is silver gray metallic luster. It is isostatic pressed to forge to various types after sintering with medium frequency furnace and then turning, rolling, planning and milling. Meanwhile, the quality is unchanged, which can be seen from external and internal aspects, such as no lose side, no lose corner, and no crackle and divide layer. Thus, the surface of the molybdenum electrode is smooth and compact.
Molybdenum electrode can be used for glass industry,andwork in the glass solution with the temperature of 1300�C. Molybdenum electrode is used as electro-heat equipment of the glass fiber kiln. It is an important part in rare earth industry. Its density is more than or equal to 10g/m3, and its purity can reach 99.5%.

Mo has a unique property of which it's melting point can reach 2610 tungsten crucible is widely applied in high temperature vacuum furnace melting environment such as sapphire growing furnace, quartz glass melting furnace, and rare earth melting furnace. The working temperature of Mo sheet is above 1500.
The melting process of the raw material for wool and fiber production is always by electrical heating with electrode, especially designed plate and Rod electrodes are generally used.

Notice:
1. Electrodes should be stored in a clean and dry place avoiding vibration and collision. It should be dried before use .
2. When connecting the nipples, the user should clean the hole with compressed air and then screw the nipple into it carefully without damaging the threads.
3. Before the electrodes are connected, cleaning the electrode tip by the compressed air when the two electrodes are 20-30mm away.
4. When the electrodes are connected by the wrenches, it should be fully tightened to the specified location that the gap between the two electrodes is less than 0.05mm.
5. To avoid the electrode breakage, please keep away from the insulation material blocks.
6. To avoid the electrode breakage, place the aniseed block on the lower part and set the small block on the upper part.
