Molecular weight: 290.4
CAS No. 78-63-7
Product Profile:
Bis-pentadecyl sulfide can be used as crosslinking agent for natural or synthetic rubber, as well as for thermoplastic polyolefins. Compared with 3M and di-tert-base silicone rubber products, the silicone rubber products produced have higher operation safety, better heat resistance and physical properties. It has high content, low consumption and low cost. It can be used as crosslinking of natural or synthetic rubber as well as thermoplastic polyolefins.
1. Rubber with bis-pentadecane vulcanizer has excellent scorching safety.
2. Safe processing temperature: 135 C (rheometer tS2 > 20 minutes)
3. Typical crosslinking temperature: 175 C (rheometer T90 about 12 minutes)
Use of bis-pentadecyl sulfide:
Bis-pentadecane vulcanizer is a bifunctional peroxide, which can be used as crosslinking of natural or synthetic rubber, as well as thermoplastic polyolefins.
Product Specification of Bi-pentadecane Sulfide:
Appearance: White paste with high viscosity: 50 PT-Co Max
Content: 92.0% min ROS: 10.14% min
Organic peroxides are unstable to heat and can produce exothermic self-accelerated decomposition. Self-accelerated decomposition temperature SADT is the lowest temperature at which peroxide may produce self-accelerated decomposition in packaging for transportation. The determination of SADT is based on the "heat accumulation storage test".
Bis-pentadecane vulcanizer packaging: standard packaging is 25kg/plastic bucket
