The jaggery is made by further melting and solidifying the nectar. It was the custom of past villagers to make rasamasavulu from Kitul honey. They used to take medicinal drinks like Belimal, Ranavara, Iramusu with Kitul Jaggery. They also used to put a sweet betel nut on a root made of leaves and hang it on the ground. Over time, sand ridges form at the base of these roots. Kithul honey is also used medicinally. Kitul honey is also used in the treatment of fractures related to topical therapy.
