Corn Grits are generally made from only white corn kernels. The kernels are quick steamed in a matter of minutes to loosen their shells (unlike hominy grits which are soaked for days in lye water.)
The product consists of small crushed particles of corn seeds of various shapes, obtained by crushing and sifting, previously peeled from shells and corn germ. Color: yellow with gradation. Smell: typical for corn grits, without extraneous smells, not stale, not moldy, not malty. Maximum product shelf life - 12 month from production date. Product must be stored in dry, good ventilated, not infested by pests warehouses witch comply to sanitary standards with humidity less than 75%. Product stored on dry, clean, undamaged pallets.
