Kerala Matta rice(Semi Polished, Parboiled) is from Palakkad district from a PGS organic certified, farm. Red, medium size roundish grains, double boiled , semi-polished, with 40-50 % bran. This rice is aged, traditionally double boiled in farm and is known for its taste and cooking quality. Pre-soak for 2 hours, pressure cook with 1: 3 water 4 whistles on high & 2 whistles on low fire. Matta Rice commonly known as Matta Rice, also known as Rosematta rice, Palakkadan Matta rice, Kerala Red rice or Red Parboiled rice, is locally sourced from the Palakkad region of Kerala, India.
