They are completely soluble in aromatic hydrocarbons, ketones, esters, higher alcohol, glycol ethers, insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons and water. They are compatible with short oil alkyds, acrylated alkyds, amino resins and are incompatible with medium and long oil alkyd resins.
