Silica ramming mass can safely be used up to an operating temperature of 1600 deg C. The acid ramming mass is used to smelt a series of metal materials such as ordinary steel and carbon steel. The lining practice best suited to a particular furnace depends upon the capacity and design of the furnace, operation practice adopted during making of a heat, and furnace output.
