Eter main shaft runs from the flywheel, through the housing and is supported by two
Flange bearings and one pillow block bearing. All bearings have grease nipples to increase longevity.
Auto feed
The tm-8 comes equipped with a mechanical drive automatic feed system. The single in-feed roller
Pulls the brush intothe chipper allowing for a much more efficient chipping process than that of a
Gravity fed system. The in-feed roller is driven off of the pto through a heavy duty gear box and
Slip joint splined drive shaft. The u joints are covered with a thick rubber boot to prevent dirt and
Debris from building up.
Housing ventilation
The tm-8 features multiple ventilation holes throughout the flywheel housing. The purpose of the
Ventilation holes is to help increase proper wood chip discharge through the shoot. As the flywheel
Rotates, the large paddles on the back, pull the air in through the ventilation holes and dramatically
Increases the air flow. This in turn, ensures a quick wood chip discharge without the worry of the
Chute clogging.
