QSFP28-100G-CWDM4-T02 Optical Transceiver integrates the transmit and receive path onto one module. On the transmit side, four lanes of serial data streams are recovered, retimed, and passed on to four laser drivers, which control four CWDM with 1271, 1291, 1311, and 1331 nm center wavelengths. The optical signals are then multiplexed into a single-mode fiber through an industry-standard LC connector. On the receive side, four lanes of optical data streams are optically demultiplexed by an integrated optical demultiplexer. Each data steam is recovered by a PIN photodetector and transimpedance amplifier, retimed, and passed on to an output driver. This module features a hot-pluggable electrical interface, low power consumption, and 2-wire serial interface.

GLsun QSFP-100G-SR4 Optical Transceiver is an integrated transceiver module containing a micro-optic component and semiconductor material, and can implement optical-electrical conversion and electrical-optical conversion. The module is designed as a four-channel, pluggable, parallel, QSFP28 transceiver for 100Gbps fiber-communication. Each channel can operate at 25Gbps up to 70m on OM3 fiber. And the operating wavelength is 850nm. The optical interface uses an 12 fiber MTP(MPO) connector, and the electrical interface uses a 38 contact edge type connector. This product is compliant to 100GBASE-SR4 of IEEE802.3bm standard and SFF-8436 specification, and provides reliable long life, high performance, and consistent service.

QSFP-DD stands for Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable Double Density. The 400G QSFP-DD Transceiver follows the same port densities system as the QSFP and QSFP28, but the QSFP-DD will support eight lanes instead of four lanes for the QSFP and QSFP28, which double the density.
Each of the eight lanes will operate a data rate up to 50Gb/s providing a 400Gb/s data speed and increasing the capacity of the QSFP28 by four. The 400G QSFP-DD MSA published that the size of the optical transceivers enables to put 36 ports in one switch slot, accumulating 14.4 Tbp/s in one slot.
Multi-mode Transceivers
Multi-mode transceivers are the low cost transceivers. QSFP-DD SR8 use more expensive non-standard MPO connectors which cancel out some of the cost savings of the multi-mode transceiver.
400G QSFP-DD SR8
The 400G QSFP-DD SR8 transceiver supports connections of up to 100 meters over multi-mode fiber and uses MPO connectors. The wavelength is 850nm. It is compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA.
Single-mode Transceivers
Single-Mode transceivers are more expensive than multi-mode transceivers but they allow to reach longer distance.
400G QSFP-DD DR4
The 400G QSFP-DD DR4 transceiver supports connections of up to 500 meters over single-mode fiber and uses MPO connector. The wavelengths is 1310nm. It is compliant with the QSFP-DD MSA.
