Ensure concrete surface is absolutely dry and free from moisture, oil, laitance, dust and dirt. For old concrete, ensure surface is free from oil, grease, algal & fungal growth and any old coating. Sand Blasting on concrete gives the best performance and should be given first preference out of the available surface preparation methods. If blasting is impracticable, Acid Etching with diluted Hydrochloric Acid followed by fresh water washing to be adopted. Seasoned wooden articles should be scuffed with Emery 220/400 to achieve smooth surface. Please refer our Directive Sheet on Surface Preparation.
