Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) is the concentrically stranded conductor used in overhead transmission line. ACSR conductors is composed of one or more layers of hard drawn 1350-H19 aluminum wires, reinforced by one galvanized steel wire or stranded galvanized steel conductors. To avoid corrosion, ACSR conductors use galvanized steel wire or conductors, in Class A , B or Class C galvanization.The grease is also applied to the central galvanized steel wire, or compete conductors. Aluminum Conductor Steel Reinforced (ACSR) contains the steel with content ranging from 6% to 40% thus providing additional strength for ACSR conductor.
