The electro-hydraulic thruster is employed as a driving gear for spring-applied drum brakes of lifting equipment as well as other machinery serving for mechanization of various production processes.
The drum brakes are applied for stopping and holding shafts of mechanisms in a braked position as the driving gear is off.
