Where tactile options fell short, touchscreens gracefully stepped up to the plate, offering a more comprehensive experience. This capability then spread to tablets, which many see as a competitor to laptops and even standard PCs.
While there are still things that are best done on a desktop computer, that doesn't change the fact that many users find themselves craving the same features that many mobile devices offer on a PC. This has helped foster a touchscreen display market that offers many viable options for people looking for the best of both worlds. With more computing power and the ability to better control the movements that occur on the screen, users can get more done in exciting new ways.
Traditionally, the computer mouse has allowed us to touch in a virtual environment, but touch screen monitors are changing all that. Arguably, the reason the mouse was used in the first place was because the technology had not yet evolved to a level sensitive enough to enable natural solutions. Now that people have touch screen technology, they want it everywhere.
We print the capacitive touch buttons/sensors on the PET circuit with transparent conductive ink. We also use ITO etching technology to make the capacitive touch buttons/sensors.
Through the customized IC chip to control the touch function wanted. Except for the capacitive touch keypads we also manufacture the capacitive touch sensor circuits.
With capacitive touch technology, the overlay materials can be very diverse and not only limited to PET or PC super thin films. For the normal membrane keypads, the function is triggered by the mechanical buttons(metal domes or Polydome), and also the common membrane keypads only can use PET or PC film for the graphic overlay.
Use a heavy force to press the buttons to make the conductive pads of the Polydome or metal domes connected to the conductive pads on the circuit layer, then become a loop circuit and occur the function. But for the capacitive touch membrane keypads or circuits, it is different.
We use a variety of overlay materials such as thick glass, PMMA, Polycarbonate panels, etc. The material choice is no longer limited to only a very thin film material, on the contrary, the options are not endless.
In addition, the capacitive touch keypad no longer needs heavy force to press buttons, you only need tiny touch the buttons, then the sensor pad can connect the circuit loop and occur the function.
