Bladders are known for their sweet taste and smooth qualities. They are always eaten reconstituted, pre- pared usually in a soup or stir fry dish. Like sea cucumbers, bladders are known to nourish the kidneys and strengthen oneÆs Qi. Bladders also serve to strengthen muscles and veins, control excessive bleeding, reduce swelling, and speed the healing of bruised skin.
