Dear Valued customer, We are ABIMEX Co.,Ltd, the Vietnamese manufacturer whose main product is tapioca starch. We have many other tapioca starch used for paper, such as: Oxidized, Oxidized Mex 8/15/20, Sizing 20, Cationic, native starch, etc. These starch can be used for paper or textile industry. Please check the general specification of Oxidized starch for textile dyeing: - Appearance : White powder - Fineness : Min 95% - Starch content : Min 85% - Brightness : Min 90% - Moisture Max : 14% - Slurry residue 200 mesh : Max 0.3% - PH : 5.0-8.0 - ASH : Max 1% - Viscosity (12%, Brookfield,500 C, mPa.s) : 8.0-15.0 - SO2 content ppm : Max 20
For paper industry, we have: SIZING 20, OXIDIZED MEX 8, OXIDIZED MEX 15, OXIDIZED MEX 22, CATIONIC. In accordance with your factory, we will provide you the starch that you need. * FEATURE: Improve the paper surface strength, smoothness and stiffness of the paper. Improved printing properties. Improve the ability of waterproof paper with adhesive surface quality. Improve anti-dusting of paper surface. Good compatibility with most chemicals used in surface sizing solution (Size press) GENERAL SPECIFICATION: Dry solid content (%): 86.5 Min pH (at 20% solution): 5.0 ¯¿½??¢?? 7.0 Conductivity (uS/cm): 500 Max Sieve test: pass through 40 mesh (%) 99.0 % Min Viscosity (cP): 20 - 50 Colour: White to off white
Product Application CATIONIC STARCH IS USUALLY USED IN PAPER PRINTING INDUSTRY - Improve paper surface, reduce the size of holes on paper surface to make paper smooth, - Increase the whiteness of paper, increase the ability to catch ink when printing (because starch is filled with air holes on the paper surface, reducing the amount of ink consumption when printing but still retains sharpness). - Improve the uniformity of paper thickness when coated with two sides of Oxidized starch. - Oxidized starch is a substrate for mixing color compounds, waterproofing agents, adhesives ... when producing colored paper, box paper, wrapping paper ... using surface coating system. *SPECIFICATION: Fineness: 93% Min Brightness : 80% Min Moisture: 15% Max Spots (amount/cm2): 8 Max PH: 5.0-8.0 Viscosity: 50-200 Degree of substitution: 0.03-0.075
I. FEATURE: Oxidized starch is used in paper industry mainly in surface treatment process in order to: Improve the paper surface strength, smoothness and stiffness of the paper. Improved printing properties. Improve the ability of waterproof paper with adhesive surface quality. Improve anti-dusting of paper surface. Good compatibility with most chemicals used in surface sizing solution (Size press). II. TYPICAL PROPERTIES - Appearance : White powder - Viscosity (mPa.s) :30-50 Brookfield Viscometer 15.0% dry substances at 50 C, 60rpm - pH : 5.0 - 7.0 (15% dry substance (cooked paste)) - Moisture (%) : 13.0 Max - Sieve analysis (%) : 1.50 Max (Mechanical sieving on 250 micron) - Shelf life : 24 months Note: The above characteristics are measured at certain condition and it could vary in the different conditions measurement. It is only for reference. These properties can be changed as required by the manufacturer's improvements without prior notice. III. APPLICATION FOR SIZEPRESS: 1. Batch cooking: Dissolve dry starch in cold water with a concentration of 15 - 20 % in the cooking tank equipped with heater and stirrer. Heat and stir the powder suspension continuously at room temperature of 90-950C for about 20 minutes to obtain a uniform liquid starch. 2. Spray continuously cooking: Dissolve dry starch in cold water with a concentration of 6 - 10%. Pump the starch suspension through the boiler tube and is heated directly by steam pressure of 2-4 bar Maintained the temperature in the cooking tank between 90-950C by adjusting the pressure of steam line. It should not be too high temperature in the cooking tank to avoid excessive starch hydrolysis. Cooking spray continuously will get lower viscosity than cooking by batch.
