Neem oil is a vegetable oil pressed from fruits and seeds of the neem tree. It varies in colour and it can be golden yellow, yellowish brown, reddish brown, dark brown, greenish brown or bright red. It has a rather strong odour. It can be extracted by the cold pressed or heat method. It is not edible, however, it is used in the preparation of cosmetics, and traditional medicine.
