These are deep-water fish found at depths of 50 to 1000 m. Redfish is caught by bottom trawling and is also caught by trawling with other species of fish. Redfish can grow up to a meter in length and weigh up to 15 kg. This fish matures only in 10-12 years of life when it grows to a length of 30-40 cm. Redfish can be identified by their red color, large eyes, and protruding lower mouth. The Redfish is a pelagic sea fish with a flattened body covered with scales.
