It is a light-yellow liquid and semi-solid at room temperature, melting to a clear yellow liquid when heated.

Palm stearin is the solid fraction of palm oil that is produced by partial crystallization at controlled temperature. It is a stearin in the sense of stearins and oleins being the solid and liquid fractions respectively of fats and oils; not in the sense of glyceryl tristearate.
POME is always regarded as a highly polluting wastewater generated from palm oil mills. This effluent could be used for biogas production through anaerobic digestion.
High Acid Crude Palm Oil (HACPO or ACPO) is another bio-diesel feedstock with low FFA that is also used to produced bio-diesel which meets international bio-diesel standards such as EN 14214 and ASTM D6751.
