Primo Series Motors Description : PRIMO is a new series of induction motors from Kirloskar Electric India offering better performance, light in weight, low noise, aesthetically good and reliable. Primo series motors are highly engineered to cope up with sudden load increase, longer thermal life, higher altitudes and voltage variations. This motors are available from frame size PM63 to PM160 L. These motors are manufactured at Kirloskar Electric Hubli Works . Motors are suitable for 415 volts +/- 10%, 50Hz +/- 5% combined variation +/- 10% , 500 C ambient, class F insulation, IP55 / IC411, temperature rise=70K. Features of PRIMO series motors : * High efficiency, thus saving energy * Suitability for inverter drive application with limited derating. * Extended longevity of bearings. * Nonhygroscopic class F insulation system with temperature rise limited to class B * Higher locked rotor, and pull out torques, thus accelerating the driven equipment quickly. * High power density motors with increased KW to weight ratio * Excellent thermal reserve * Higher reliability and easy maintainability * Good aesthetics.
Motor Body is made out of carbon steel, End shields out of aluminum alloy. These are protected against corrosion by pretreatment and finally powder coated. Hard Ferrite Magnets with high coercive force are used to get high starting torque at nominal voltage. Motor is made of High density Polyamides Long Lasting life. Armature is dynamically balanced and supported with Ball Bearings. These are face Mounting Motors and can be installed in any desired position.
