Depending on your application requirements, the layers of metal plating underneath the bright nickel chrome can include a copper strike, nickel strike, semi-bright nickel, high sulfur nickel, a layer of bright nickel, micro-porous nickel, and a final topcoat of chromium
composed of 80 percent nickel & 20 percent chromium, and meets ASTM B267 standards for resistance wire. Our nichrome wire has an appreciable temperature rating of 1177 C (2150 F), is corrosion resistant, and resists oxidation even at high temperatures.
