Passion fruit is tropical, subtropical fruit; Passion fruit are grown popular in highland central of Vietnam, Daklak, GiaLai, Daknong, Lam Dong. Most popular type of passion is purple skin, round shape, 8-10cm diameter.
The flavor of passion fruit is astringent and refreshingly tart when the fruit is fresh, becomes sweeter and more complex as the fruit ripens. Its flavor can be compared with citrus, melon, pineapple, and kiwi. When overripe, the pulp can take on a richly complex, almost fermented flavor. The flesh is jellylike and can be scooped out and eaten with a spoon. The seeds have a slight crunch to them, but they're easy to eat and don't need to be removed.

In nutritions Dragon fruit is low in calories but rich in vitamins, minerals and beneficial plant compounds such as polyphenols, carotenoids and betacyanins.
Vietnam is the leading country of export Dragon fruit. The production of dragon fruit in Vietnam was 1,198,854.1 metric tons in 2019, and it is projected to reach 1,706,065.3 metric tons by 2025.Major export destinations for these fruits are China, Thailand, and Indonesia. The fruit is also entering the new markets, including India, New Zealand & Australia, and Chile.
In Vietnam Draron fruit is widely grown in Binh Thuan province south centre of Vietnam, and Long An, Tien Giang south of Vietnam.

Quality to export Vietnam dragon fruits are sorted into 3 grades, only the best product can export for long transit time:
Grade 1: outstanding quality for exporting with the defecting surface is less than 2 cm2. The green skin is not acceptable. Must have red skin, with no damage, or any unusual looking, Stem must be green color, hard.
Grade 2: good quality for exporting with the defecting surface is about 2-4 cm4. The green skin is acceptable. This grade is favored by China market due to cheaper price.
Grade 3 : With some defect that do not affect to the taste and reserved of fruit, To sell in domestic market.
