An additional advance in the case of metal oxide sensor technology is the use of AC rather than DC interrogation of the sensing material. This approach provides complementary atmospheric composition information from the real part and the imaginary part of the sensor impedance and introduces a marked enhancement in terms of sensitivity and selectivity. The SMS is designed to work with up to 8 metal oxide gas sensors. It has circuits to accurately control sensor heater temperature based on digital control loops. The individual sensor heater 'C resistance and temperature coefficients can be set, and there are a number of heater setpoint algorithms that can be selected as parameters. These include temperature ramps, timed temperature schedules and control by an external RS485 interface.Temperature setpoint algorithms can be set in pairs, or slaved to the first pair as required. The SMS unit measures the impedance of the sensing element by applying a controllable synthesised sine wave to a potential divider formed by a top resistor (selectable between 100kR and1MR by an on-board jumper) and the sensor: The sensor resistance is displayed by the PC monitor software, as is a measure of the quadrature (reactive) component. Specification 4 or 8 MMO sensor channels, configurable for a wide range of MMO sensors. digital control of heater temperature using an adaptive algorithm and a number of heater temperature profiles to aid selectivity. measurement of real and imaginary sensing element impedance. usable with a wide range of sensors, to sense alternative gases. a range of interface options including CAN, RS485 and RS232. supplied with a suitable mains to 12V power supply plug. available with PC monitor software, or information to allow users to write their own interface software.
EKO Heat Flow Sensors MF-180 MF-180M MF-190 MF-200 EKO Heat Flow Sensors are suitable for the direct measurement of heat flow inside materials, and the measurement of the radiant flow emitted by bodies such as refrigerators and containers. Principle of thr measurement There are three modes in heat transmission, thermal conduction, radiation and convection. If the heat flow sensor is placed on the surface of the material, it measures the total value of those three modes. If the sensor is placed inside the material, it directly measures the heat transmission caused by thermal conduction.

1.General description The luminox family (lox) is a range of factory calibrated oxygen sensors which measure ambient oxygen partial pressure (ppo2) levels using the principle of fluorescence quenching by oxygen. By default luminox measures ppo2 (mbar) and temperature (°c). An optional pressure sensor enables luminox to also measure barometric pressure (mbar) and to convert the ppo2 reading to an oxygen concentration (o2%). The sensor benefits from low power operation, traditionally associated with electrochemical sensors, while providing a much longer lifetime due to the non-depleting sensing principle. Luminox is ppo2 and temperature compensated, enabling accurate operation over a wide environmental range without the need for additional system components. Unlike other sensor technologies, luminox is very stable and robust, does not contain lead or any other Hazardous materials and has negligible cross sensitivity to other gases. 2.Cleaning The housing of the sensor can be cleaned using a damp cloth. The sensor should not be immersed in any cleaning media. Full application and technical support can be provided by our knowledgable and highly experienced engineering team if required. 3.Benefits -low power -can also measure o2% & barometric pressure (lox-02) -suitable for battery power use -long life - high accuracy - small & compact - low cost -maintenance free contains no hazardous materials -connects directly to microcontroller - without any additional circuitry. - factory calibrated 4.Applications -oxygen detection -portable equipment - breathing apparatus - inerting - medical -lab equipment - agriculture -incubation -fire prevention - flue gas in condensing boilers
