Coconut fibers is an eco - friendly material which are found between the hard, internal shell of the outer coat of a coconut. After fully mature coconuts are harvested, they are put into machines to separate the long bristle fibres underneath the skin of the nut. This process is called wet-milling. The coconut fiber is relatively waterproof, and is one of the few enviromental materials that are resistant to damage by seawater. Our coconut fiber is 100% natural. We carefully process it in different presentations so you can use it in multiple applications. Our product consists of the husk of the green young coconut. Once the husk is removed from the seed (coconut), it can be ground, sifted, chipped, and dried into multiple presentations. Our coconut fiber can be used as an ornamental plants substrate, as a growing medium in commercial ornamental plants production systems, as an effective material for trail construction, and as mulch in annual and perennial crops.
The upholstery business makes extensive use of coir fiber bales, which is a healthy alternative to processed synthetic rubber. And it is also used by the textile industry and for making rope. Coir fiber is often used as a filler for floating islands. A great mulch for landscaping is made from the coir bale used to make mattress coir fiber. When coir rolls are put together, the gaps can be filled with fiber. Because of how similar the two media appear, growing in coco coir resembles growing in soil. A fully hydroponic garden is possible, and it can resemble a soil garden in appearance. The only difference is that you would irrigate your coconut coir garden with water that has been treated with nutrients rather than just plain water. That helps keep the moisture in and offers a favorable environment for growth. Features: The fiber can be used to fill the gaps when coir rolls are joined together. Growing in coco coir feels like growing in soil, because the two media look so similar. You can have a completely hydroponic garden that looks almost the same as a soil garden. The only difference is instead of watering with only water, you'd water your coconut coir garden with nutrient-enriched water. Retains moisture and provides a good environment.
