Araguari: The Jewel of Brazilâ??s Coffee Capital
Araguari lies in the heart of Minas Geraisâ??s brewing
What makes Araguari so special?
The southwestern city of Minas Gerais is known for its high altitudes (2600-4100 feet), flat topography, optimal temperature (65-75 ®F) and regular rain, making it the perfect spot to cultivate and produce coffee beans. Furthermore, due to these conditions, the area has been dubbed as frost-free, which releases it from the most fearful threats to Brazilian coffee plantations.
Due to these geographical factors, the land is able to produce a full bloomed, uniformly mature coffee plant that is immersed in the aromas of the land and infused in the rich terroir (taste of the land) of Araguari.
Thatâ??s not all, Brazilian farmers are known to traditionally â??strip pickâ?? the coffee beans through the less used dry process which is all natural and does not require the washing of berries. The berries are then dried for a week or more depending on the conditions and hulled through an advanced technological process.
The high-quality production of the land ensures that the coffee has been produced through a production cycle that is eco-friendly and natural. If there are any chinks in the process then the Araguari coffee industry does not allow the coffee beans to be certified or exported outside the country.
What kinds of beans do they reap from a good harvest?
The land of Brazil is lush green and is dotted with many rainforests. The humid conditions that merge between the summer-winter seasons make it ideal for the coffee beans to grow in the fertile soil. This helps influence the taste and quality of the beans.
The coffee from Araguari is known for these characteristics:
â?¢ Sweet aroma â?¢ Full-medium body beans â?¢ Low acidity â?¢ Bittersweet taste â?¢ Nuttiness â?¢ Rich chocolaty flavor
Araguari is exclusively producing Arabica coffee of mainly two varieties, Catuai (45%) and Mundo Novo (55%), while the minor varieties include Catucai and Bourbon. These blends of varieties make it a good base for the strong shots of well-blended espressos sold around the world.
The kidney bean is a variety of the common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris). It is named for its visual resemblance in shape and colour to a kidney. Red kidney beans should not be confused with other red beans, such as adzuki beans.
Arabica and Robusta quality beans originally from Vietnam.
Light Roast:
Light brown in color, this roast is generally preferred for milder coffee varieties. There will be no oil on the surface of these beans because they are not roasted long enough for the oils to break through to the surface.
Medium Roast:
Medium roast is medium brown in color with a stronger flavor and a non-oily surface.
Dark Roast:
This roast produces shiny black beans with an oily surface and a pronounced bitterness. The darker the roast, the less acidity will be found in the coffee beverage.
Selected carefully from the cherry coffee fruits in Buon Ma Thuot homeland in Viet Nam, 100% pure coffee is created from the combination between modern roasted technology and traditional roasted secrets to keep the flavor of nature.

Our beans start off in pods that are treated exclusively with organic fertilizers that are produced on site using as prime ingredient the slime that encapsulates the beans inside the pod, they are fermented to perfection using a new technique invented by our Agro specialist that carefully controls the levels of astringency and acidity on the beans also keeping the humidity levels at 6% max, after that they are placed in large concrete surfaces ( Tendales ) to sundry until they are ready for the roasting process which is done paying close attention that the beans are not exposed to direct flame, there as preserving the natural rich flavors and not smoking the bean.
Finally, after a selection process, they are stored in sacks of up to 70 Kg and staked in piles no higher than 8 units in order to preserve the integrity of the produce. Thus producing 88.18 Tons of high-quality cacao beans per month.
