A by-product from crushing, expelling, and extracting oil from Oilseed rape and is normally in meal form. Oilseed rape meal is readily available all the year round.
A high protein, good energy feed is used to partially replace soya bean meal, although the protein is less digestible. The meal from industrial crops ("environmentally friendly" fuel oils) is usually high in glucosinolate / erucic acid.
Rapeseed Meal is derived from the oilseed rape plant and constitutes a black and yellowish meal that is slightly oily to the touch.
Rapeseed Meal is available all year round. Oilseed Rapemeal has become a popular feed to supply ruminant animals, and to a lesser extent, pigs, with a cost-effective source of protein (35%). Sunflower meal is the by-product of the oil extraction process. Oil is the majority value of sunflower seed and meal is considered a by-product. Sunflower meal is an excellent livestock feed, especially for ruminants.
Sunflower meal is the fourth largest oilseed meal produced and consumed in the world. Sunflower meal has the greatest potential use in ruminant rations but also has a place as a protein supplement in non-ruminant rations. Unhulled or partially dehulled sunflower meal can be substituted for soybean meal on an equivalent protein basis in feeding ruminants.
The low-fiber and higher protein meals can be utilized in feeding poultry and swine. Lower levels of lysine and threonine may cause some restrictions on some non-ruminant uses of sunflower meal. Sunflower meal is a valuable source of calcium, phosphorus, and B vitamins However, sunflower meal contains an excellent level of methionine which provides potential advantages for mixing with other meals.

Description
Corn gluten feed is a by-product from the manufacture of cornstarch and corn syrup. It is a medium protein feed, which contains almost the same Total Digestible Nutrients level as barley. The protein in corn gluten feed is degraded relatively rapidly in the rumen.
Corn gluten feed has medium palatability and may be included in the grain mixture up to a level of 50 percent or fed to cows at a rate of up to 12 pounds (5.4 kg) per cow per day.

Rice bran is a major by-product from rice processing. It consists of the fibrous outer layer of the grain, some hull, chipped grain and calcium carbonate which is added during milling process. Raw rice bran contains 13-19% oil which is removed by solvent extraction process leading to production of de-oiled rice bran.
This contains crude protein ranging from 13-16% and TDN 55-65%. De-oiled rice bran is a good source of proteins, vitamins and minerals. In addition, it also contains better assortment of amino acids, particularly lysine and methionine, compared to other cereal grains, including maize and wheat. The phosphorus content is high (1.30%) in de-oiled rice bran and calcium content is comparatively low. Though, much of the phosphorus exists as phytate phosphorus, rumen microorganism can digest phytate phosphorus.
Generally, rice bran contains variable quantities of hulls, which are high in silica making them very abrasive and extremely low digestibility.
