The quality of bitumen 60/70 depends on its physical properties and specifications. Apart from penetration test, there are a number of test that are used for specifying bitumen 60/70 including viscosity, softening point, ductility, loss on heating, and flash point.
Some of these items are more important for suppliers of bitumen 60/60 and their customers. These are softening point and flashpoint. According to ASTM D36 method, the softening point of bitumen 60/70 is between 49 to 56 �°C and the flash point of bitumen 60/70 is 250 �°C.

It is an elastomeric waterproofing membrane, manufactured from a rich mixture of bitumen and selected APP (Atactic polypropylene) polymers blended together to obtain excellent heat & UV resistance and waterproofing properties. The polymerized bitumen is coated onto a dimensionally stable reinforcement core of non-woven spun-bond polyester rot-proof fabric.
