The Higglunds VI motor, the first Higglunds hydraulic motor to leave the assembly line, was originally developed for marine applications for unmatched performance, reliability and control. These properties have also been demonstrated in industrial fields such as pulp and paper and mining. In marine applications, especially winches in harsh working conditions, Higglunds VI motors provide optimum torque (tension) control regardless of RPM. This reduces the risk of accidental blockages or equipment failure, which reduces equipment maintenance costs and increases productivity. At the same time, the true freewheel and the very low moment of inertia make the H¤gglunds VI motor suitable for a wide range of applications even in harsh environments.
