The Electromagnetic powder clutch achieves at a low gate power a high torque being independent from the slip speed. It distinguishes itself by a simple structure, low weight and requires little place.

This advantage makes it possible that the clutch can be employed in the solution of many technical problems. For the different applications are needed appropriate regulation and control devices. We can deliver such proven devices.
The characteristics of the Electromagnetic powder clutches and brakes are a great advantage in the control engineering. By changing the exciting current intensity, the torque to be transferred can be adjusted.

In this application, a combination motor/generator is used first as a motor to spin the tires up to speed prior to touchdown, thus reducing wear on the tires, and then as a generator to provide regenerative braking.[1]

c. Clutch Brake Combination Double Shaft: In normal conditions drive is isolated from driven load and rotates freely. Once power is supplied to the clutch coil, clutch armature shifts and clamps with the clutch rotor and thus acts as single unit and torque gets transmitted from drive to driven load free from backlash. Similarly when power is withdrawn from the clutch coil and supplied to the brake coil, powerful magnetic field generated forces the brake armature plate to slide towards the brake stator and hence braking takes place.

d. Double Clutch Combination: EXCEL double clutch combination consists of two EFMC series clutches in a single housing and a single tandom shaft. EDCC are manufactured considering the higher frequency of forwarding & reversing mechanics. A combination of clutches are used for reversing revolution of the driven member with driving member turning in one direction. Also combination of clutches are used to increase or decrease the speed during operation without stopping the driving member.. Load is being transferred either by the first or second clutch. At a time only one clutch gets engaged while other remains idle.

1. Neoprene shock absorber - prevents link pin breakage and increases the life of the solenoid.
2. Hardened steel lever and spring gland reduces wear at the pins and all other points of contact.
3. Cast iron wheel - The physical properties of the iron minimize the tendency of the wheel to deposit metal particles in the lining which could result in serious scoring of vehicle.
