Diatomite is a kind of biogenic silicastone, It is mainly composed of the remains of ancient diatom. Diatomite mineral contains opal, and mixed with the monomer of quartz grain impurities, the color can be white, yellow ,
green etc.. Diatomite is a kind of friction materials,it can improve the process performance of friction material, and can make the products have stable friction performance, prolong the service life, reduce the cost.
Diatomite can be applied in Brake pad Drum brake or clutch. According to the performance requirement,The recommended regular consumption of Diatomite is from 2% to 8%.
The character of Diatomite:
The main chemical composition of Diatomite is SiO2,The
 chemical formula is SiO2NH2O,and the mineral composition are opal and its variants. Except SiO2, Diatomite also contains a small amount of impurities such as Fe, A1, Ca, Mg, K, Na etc.. Diatomite often accompanied by various kinds of clay, quartz and dolomite, etc..
