1.Application

The NFC33-209 Standard AAAC Conductor Aerial Cable is used for 600V or lower overhead service applications such as power transimission and distribution for street lighting,outdoor lighting,and temporary service for construction.

The operating temperatures should not to exceed 75°C for polyethylene(PE) insulated conductors or 90°C for crosslinked polyethylene(XLPE)insulated conductors.

Aluminium Conductor Alloy Reinforced (ACAR) is formed by concentrically stranded wires of Aluminium 1350 on high strength Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon(AlMgSi) alloy core. The number of wires of Aluminum1350 & AlMgSi alloy depends on the cable design. Although the alloy strands generally comprise the core of the conductor, in some constructions they are distributed in layers throughout the aluminum 1350-H19 strands.

ACSS conductors are similar to conventional ACSR with some very important additional advantages. ACSS can operate continuously at high temperatures up to 250Ë?C without damage, allowing for a significant increase in conductor current-carrying capacity. ACSS sags less under emergency electrical loading than ACSR, it is self-damping, and its final sags are not affected by long-term creep of the aluminum.

AACSR is a concentrically stranded conductor composed of one or more layers of Aluminium-Magnesium-Silicon Alloy wire stranded around a high strength coated steel core. The core can be of either single wire or stranded multi wire. AACSR is available with steel core of Class A, B or C galvanizing or Aluminium clad (AW). Additional corrosion protection is available through the application of grease to the core or infusion of the complete cable with grease.
