Ribbed Smoke Sheet (Rss)

RSS is widely used in many industries, especially tyre business. Unsmoked Sheets are collected from local farmers. The sheets are cleaned and smoked in controlled temperature with technical supervision. The smoked sheets then are classified by visual inspection from well-trained staff into five grades.

* RSS 1 : Grade 1 Ribbed Smoked Sheets RSS 1 refers to Ribbed Smoked Sheets, produced from natural rubber latex as ribbed sheets, by coagulation with acids and sheeting,properly air dried and smoked, and visually graded. Ribbed smoked sheets (RSS) are graded based on visual assessment of quality. The International Rubber Quality and Packing Conference (IRQPC) have specified the grade descriptions, to establish acceptable grades for commercial usage. Specification (RSS1): Clean, dry, strong, small-scattered pinhead bubbles, free from blemishes, sand, foreign matter, under-cured Packing : • 33.33 kg/ bales, 600 bales/fcl 20 feet • Bale Packaging Normal 0.03 mm PE bag with melting temperature under 109 oC. • Thick (0.13 mm) PE bag

* RSS 3 : Grade 3 Ribbed Smoked Sheets Ribbed Smoked Sheets (RSS 3) is coagulated from high quality natural rubber latex produced by Pexim Rubbers. Rubber latex processed into ribbed rubber sheets and then sheeted, dried, smoked, and visually graded. RSS3 rubber sheets are used in the production of Tyres (tires) & Tubes, Tread Carcass, Off road tyres & ADV tyres, Extruded hoses, Footwear etc. Tyre industry is the biggest consumer of RSS3 rubber sheets. The majority of rubber is exported as ribbed smoked sheets (RSS), (over 50%), of which ribbed smoked sheet no.3 ( RSS 3 ) constitutes the major part. * Specification : Dry mould no more than 10%, clean , dry, strong, small-scattered bubbles, specks of bark, free from blemishes, sand, foreign matter, under-cured. * Used for the manufacturing: Tyres & Tubes, Tread Carcass, Off road tyres & ADV tyres, Automotive Parts, Extruded hoses, Footwear etc Packing : • 33.33 kg/ bales, 600 bales/fcl 20 feet • Bale Packaging Normal 0.03 mm PE bag with melting temperature under 109 oC. • Thick (0.13 mm) PE bag

Ribbed Smoked Sheet Rubber (RSS Rubber) is a form of raw natural rubber. It is made from natural rubber latex which is treated and then made to coagulate. The latex is formed into sheets using a simple machine and is then air dried or smoked in ovens. Adopted mainly due to the simplicity and low cost of production, RSS rubber is mainly used by the tyre industry.
