AAK's 3 tips to ensure that the Proportional Valve is free of jamming, winning the affirmation of customers in Turkey

Ewalz is from Turkey, and mainly purchases standard parts of hydraulic cartridge valves from Ningbo China. Recently, they developed a hydraulic manifold that requires the use of SUN proportional valves. He purchased it from a proportional valve manufacturer in Ningbo, and after 2 weeks of operation, the equipment experienced significant vibration. The on-site engineer found that the proportional valve was severely stuck. The original hydraulic valve manufacturer stated that this proportional valve is a replica of SUN, with fully calibrated parameters, but there are differences in performance. Ewalz was speechless and had to look for a new hydraulic valve manufacturer for this proportional valve.

Ewalz browsed the AAK hydraulic valve website, stayed for nearly 15 minutes and left a message:

1. Does AAK have an existing program for benchmarking SUN proportional valves?
2. Can AAK completely solve the problem of valve spool jamming, vibration and noise?

After communication, it was learned that the hydraulic manifold they developed was very tight on time, they had no time to customize it and could only choose the existing SUN proportional valve. The proportional valve produced by the original valve manufacturer has the same function as SUN, but has poor performance.

This SUN proportional valve is widely used, and AAK have a record of 6 shipments last year. There has never been any jamming of the valve spool, and we have inventory, which fully meets his requirements.

2 weeks after AAK sent the SUN proportional valve samples, Ewalz informed us via email that the hydraulic manifold debugging was successful. 2 months later, Ewalz informed us that their engineers were satisfied with the AAK proportional valve. The root cause of unsatisfactory performance of the original valve manufacturer's SUN proportional valve lies in its accuracy. The vast majority of proportional valve manufacturers have a cylindricity machining accuracy greater than 5um, which is 70% lower than the SUN standard cylindricity. For the accuracy of proportional valves that is completely in line with the SUN standard parts, there are probably less than 3 hydraulic valve manufacturers in Ningbo China. AAK controls the accuracy of the proportional valve from 3 aspects:

1. AAK proportional valve spool control: The valve spool is produced using a German CNC lathe with one blade and then high-precision cylindrical grinding. The machining error is controlled within �± 1um, and the coaxiality and cylindricity are controlled within 3um.
2. AAK proportional valve hole control: Adopting Swiss honing processing, the accuracy can reach IT6-IT7 level, and the surface roughness can reach Ra0.2-0.025um.

The 1 million times durability of hydraulic counterbalance valves, AAK quality benchmarked with SUN hydraulics, but the price was 30% cheaper

Last week, the German customer Thorsten sent an order for 1,200 hydraulic counterbalance valves, and said that only AAK and SUN hydraulic counterbalance valves passed 1 million durability tests among the 6 hydraulic valve manufacturers making the samples. However, the price of AAK was 30% lower than that of SUN, and the delivery time was faster.

In May this year, Thorsten's company received an order for a batch of special hydraulic winches. The customer requested that the equipment be guaranteed for at least 1 year of service life. The engineer required that the durability test of the hydraulic counterbalance valve to be purchased by Thorsten must reach more than 1 million times. Thorsten found a local hydraulic counterbalance valve manufacturer to carry out the test. After 100,000 times, the O-ring wear affected the seal. After the sealing ring was replaced, the valve spool and valve body were worn and leaked again after 200,000 times, and the local manufacturer surrendered.

Thorsten had to find a manufacturer of hydraulic counterbalance valves with higher durability. In order to avoid wasting purchasing time again, the two schemes were carried out simultaneously. One is to purchase the original SUN hydraulic counterbalance valves, and the other is to find a factory for customized hydraulic cartridge valves. When Thorsten contacted AAK, I told him that the requirement of hydraulic counterbalance valves for 1 million times was not very high. How could local hydraulic valve manufacturer fail? Thorsten said that when testing this hydraulic counterbalance valve, the opening and closing cycle time is set to 5 seconds, the set pressure is 21 PMa, and the flow rate is 9L/min. The wear resistance of the sealing ring, valve spool and valve body is at least 50% higher than that of the conventional hydraulic counterbalance valves. This time, including AAK, there are 6 hydraulic valve manufacturers to make samples.

More than a month later, Thorsten said that among the 6 hydraulic counterbalance valve manufacturers, only AAK and SUN hydraulic counterbalance valves have passed the durability test for 1 million times, but the price of AAK is 30% lower than that of SUN. At the same time, AAK can provide a delivery time 4 weeks faster than that of sun. Thorsten especially wants to know why AAK is so strong. AAK hydraulic counterbalance valves are different from peers due to the following 3 points:

1. AAK adopts Japanese special polyurethane rubber sealing ring for this hydraulic counterbalance valve. Under the special working condition required by Thorsten, the durability limit of rubber sealing ring is about 100,000 times only, while the wear-resistant and high-pressure resistance performance of ours is more than twice that of other rubber sealing rings.
