2019 Suzuki 40 HP DF40ATL2 Outboard Motor

This is the only engine in the 40 hp class to offer DOHC performance, and also the only engine in its class to incorporate a maintenance-free, oil-bathed timing chain, which provides the outboard with increased durability and maintenance free operation. With larger displacements for increased power and performance, Suzuki's Lean Control System for improved fuel economy and designs that are more compact and lighter in weight than the predecessor, the new DF40A engines also incorporate the Suzuki Troll Mode System. During the 2011 Miami Boat Show, the Boating Writers of America presented Suzuki Marine with the NMMA Innovation Award for the DF40A/DF50A.

The all new Suzuki 15hp EFI is an excellent choice of power for medium to larger sized jon boats and skiffs requiring a long shaft as well as auxiliary power for sailboats and trolling/kicker applications. Suzuki DF175A L is based on an inline four cylinder DOHC powerhead with a 2,867cm³ (174.9 cu.in.) displacement. While the large displacement contributes greatly to producing exceptional acceleration and torque, it doesnt mean that they are comparatively larger and heavier in size. On the contrary, Suzukis engineers have targeted this big block motor to be one of the lightest four strokes in the 175 HP class.

30 HP outboard motor displacement is smaller, it easier for maintenance, will give you performance and reliability for your long days of boating. In many countries (especially for the developing areas) of the world where outboard demand is primarily for commercial uses, the water quality, weather and climate variance and long hours of continuous use make for a very harsh use environment. This is the two stroke outboard motor series developed mainly for commercial use such as on fishing and passenger vessels.
