Oxygen Index: Measuring the Minimum Oxygen Concentration to Support Candle-Like Combustion of PlasticsThe purpose of ASTM D2863 is to establish the lowest oxygen concentration in an oxygen/nitrogen combination necessary to sustain a flame burn on a plastic specimen. Real end use circumstances are not correlated.
The test sample is placed vertically in a glass chimney, and a flow of oxygen and nitrogen is created there by starting at the bottom of the chimney. The test sample's top edge is lighted, and when the oxygen concentration in the flow falls, the flame eventually goes out.
Specimen dimensions: Depending on the kind of material being tested, there are six requirements for the test specimen.

Transformer oil acid tester is a fully automatic measuring instrument which adopts the extraction method to accurately detect the insulating oil acid value. This instrument can improve the working efficiency and test accuracy, and at the same time ensure the safety of the body by reducing the operator's contact with the samples and reagents. The acid value is the trace value of potassium sulfate that neutralizes the petroleum acid in 1g of oil, which contains a certain amount of inorganic acid and inorganic acid. The acid value includes organic and inorganic acids contained in the oil. In most cases, oil does not contain mineral acids. Therefore, the oleic acid value actually represents the content of organic acids in the oil. The organic acid contained in the new oil is mainly cyclonic acid.
