All high-pressure hoses utilize an 'air spool' with two small o-rings to connect the swivel connector on the hose to the gauge fitting. If the air spool is worn or missing, the HP hose will leak at the swivel. The air spool is not included with the hose, but we recommend replacing it when you replace the hose. The standard spool has a central flange, but some SPGs, particularly those with plastic bodies, may only accept a spool without a shoulder. In such cases, you will need to reuse the air spool from the SPG.
