Polyisobutylene (PIB) is a Liquid or semi-solid vinyl polymer formed by the cationic polymerization of isobutylene, but the raw materials may also include mixture of isobutane and isobutylene, and fractions of C4 hydrocarbons along with isobutylene. The C4 hydrocarbons are derived from naptha of a crude oil refinery or could also be a derived from plants where natural gas is used as a feedstock.

This product is primarily used in blending marine oil and high quality internal combustion engine oil, especially the engine oil for high-sulfur fuel. It is brown liquid. The recommended dosage is 0.5-25.0%. This gear oil additive package can be used in blending the following grads of API GL-5 vehicle gear oil: SAE90, 80W/90, 85W/90, 85W/140 and the following grads of industrial gear oil: N68, N100, N150, N220, N320, N460. This product is a compound of zinc-dithiophosphate, detergent, dispersant and antioxidant. It is primarily used in blending various low-grade and middle-grade lubricant oils. With very low dosage, it can meet the requirements of SB/CB and SC/CC grade oils. The product is brown liquid.
