Sugarcane Jaggery Powder

Sugarcane Jaggery powder form - is a natural sweetener widely used in baking industry as replacement to white sugar and used as an ingredient in some South India dishes. Jaggery Powder can also be used as natural sweetener for Coffee and Tea as a healthy alternate for white sugar. Sugarcane Jaggery powder is prepared by extracting the juice from cane and boiled for more than an hour to thicken. The resulting thick syrup is then allowed to cool down and stirred continuously in order to get the powdered form. It has no traces of any kind of fat so one can readily add it to their diet without worrying about excessive fat intake. Since Jaggery contains sugar content similar to that of white sugar diabetic patients should avoid overconsumption at any point in time.
