Green vatana is known as green peas; generally grown in the Maharashtra region. Green peas are spherical in shape, once they are dried and their skin is removed; they split naturally. They are available throughout the year. Yellow peas are also available which are slightly milder in flavor. These peas are a combination of vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc, and many other antioxidants.
