Polyethylene is the world's most widely used thermoplastic and is made by the polymerization of ethylene. Polyethylene is often classified by its density, because greater density corresponds with greater material rigidity. The world¢??s largest volume polyethylene is high density polyethylene (HDPE), which has a relatively high degree of tensile strength. Plastic containers represent the most common household use of high-density polyethylene. At the opposite end of the spectrum is low density polyethylene (LDPE), which was the first type of polyethylene to be developed. Flexible packaging represents the most common household use of low-density polyethylene. Both high- density polyethylene and low-density polyethylene are also commonly used for moulding applications. Linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) can usually be manufactured at a slightly lower cost than low density polyethylene and has similar basic properties. While low-density polyethylene and linear low-density polyethylene are to a certain extent substitutable for each other, one may be more suitable than the other for a specific application.
Properties 1. Excellent transparency, outstanding resistance to aging. 2. It has good insulating properties and mechanical strength; to acid, alkali, salt has a strong resistance to corrosion; and because easy processing. Applications 1.Extruded sheets for signage, displays and building material 2.Motive parts such as tail lamps, meter covers and sun visors 3.General sundries such as tableware, kitchenware, giftware and bathroom accessories 4.Optical lenses such as sunglasses, reading glasses and camera lenses 5.Light guide panels for LCD displays 6.Other applications such as mobile phone display panels, clock covers, lighting covers/accessories, optical fibres, toys, etc.
Low density polyethylene (LDPE), also known as high pressure polyethylene, is a kind of plastic material, it is suitable for thermoplastic molding processing of various forming processes, forming processing is good. LDPE is mainly used for thin film products, but also for injection products, medical devices, medicine and food packaging materials, blow molding hollow molding products and so on. LDPE Granules Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) is a synthetic resin using a high-pressure process via free radical polymerization of ethylene and is therefore also called high-pressure polyethyleneâ. It features light, flexible, good freezing resistance and impact resistance. LDPE is chemically stable. It has good resistance to acids (except strongly oxidizing acids), alkali, salt, and excellent electrical insulation properties. Its vapor penetration rate is low.
Black LDPE granules is produced from European origin post industrial 60/40 and 80/20 grade raw materials. Standard process includes crushing, washing in three separate pools, agglomerating and extruding in two stages. MFI Range (190 -C 2,16 kg ) 0,80-1,00 g/10 min at 190 C 2,16 kg Density 0,91-0,93 g/cm3.
