POP Mimosa ME is a mixture of mimosa medium bleach extract and wattle extract which is suitable to any kind of vegetable leather. It is excellent for pit-drum or drum tannage and also for the retannage of chrome leather. Typical analysis : Physical Aspect : Light brown hygroscopic powder. Ionic character: Anionic PCP : Free Tannins % : 70.0 + 2.0 (72.5 + 2.0 dry basis ) Moisture % : 6.5 maximum pH (1:10 soln.) : 4.5-5.0 Properties : Pop mimosa me is soluble in tap and hot water. It has the following characteristics for vegetable tannage : Efficient penetration. Excellent yield. Good fixation. For retannage of chrome leather POP MIMOSA ME permits : Bellies and flanks fillings. Better buffing properties. To keep embossing effect. Excellent polish effect. Application : POP MIMOSA ME may be used alone or blended with other vegetable extracts. The following use is recommended : Based on limed weight 25-30% of POP MIMOSA ME for vachetta tannage ( veg leather ) 40 - 45% of POP MIMOSA ME for soles tannage. Based on shaved weight 5-15% of POP MIMOSA ME for chrome leather retannage. Recommendation : During the leather production, there may be a risk of iron contamination. In order to prevent this, we suggest to use an iron-sequestering agent such as Pop DS Powder (0.2% on the reference weight), which may be added together with the first addition of tanning agents on the tanning or retaining processes. Storage : POP MIMOSA ME maintains its characteristics unchanged if properly stored in dry premises protected from sunlight in closed bags. POPBATE-ALKC has proteolytic enzymes which ensure optimal removal of non-leather forming proteinaceous material like albumin, globulins and mucoids from the hides and skins. POPBATE-ALKC gives a more elastic grain without increasing the "loose grain" tendency. POPBATE ALKC slackens the hide structure gently without causing excessive decomposition of the flanks. POPSYNTHOIL LF-10 Odourless fish oil based chrome stable fatliquor. Appearance : Slightly viscous light brown emulsion. Chemical Type : Sulphited high quality fish oil. Active Matter : 80% (+ 2) pH of 10% solution : 7.5 + (0.5) Ionic charge : Anionic in nature. Stability : Stable to acid, alkali, salt and mineral tanning agents. PROPERTIES : Popsynthoil LF10 is an all purpose anionic fat liquor for high degree of softness suitable for chrome and Semi Chrome as well as for vegetable tanned leathers. It is easily emulsifiable in water at normal temperature. Leather treated with Popsynthoil LF10 not only possesses softness and suppleness, but also, good tensile strength and water resistance. It imparts instant softness without high fat addition to the leather when it is partly incorporated in neutralization. We recommend 0.5-2.0% Popsynthoil LF10 in neutralization, depending upon the degree of softness required. Popsynthoil LF10 can also be used in rechroming prior to the addition of chrome powder to get extra softness and better chrome exhaustion. It has inherent properties to open leather fibres and to produce a fluffy, soft and round leather. Popsynthoil LF10 has no effect on aniline dyes. It is satisfactorily fast to light and does not impart any yellowing to leather under normal conditions. APPLICATIONS : Due to its excellent versatile properties, it can be used on a wide variety of leathers e.g. lining, upper, softies, upholstery, nappa, glove, clothing, etc. To avail its maximum efficacy to achieve desired softness, we recommend Popsynthoil LF10 to be used stage wise i.e. in re-chroming, neutralization as well as in main fat liquoring.
